BY FAR the best set you can have is the northern traveller Valhalla promo set. Stat based are best. It's possible to get 100% melee resistance with stat based builds. Yusufssword is the best weapon. Has 5 stars in all categories and occasionally causes enemies to flee. Almogavar Axe also has 5 stars in all categories but lacks the special ability. The best armour is either master assassin or Ishak armour *the one from gathering the pages and doing the Hagia Sophia challenge*. Thefull Jormungandr armor set I believe has the best melee damage output. But you're splitting hairs at that point with a few other top sets. The Blessed Warrior set offers a decent damage boost IIRC. From the game/DLC: The Fallen Hero set is good (with a useful explosive pulse w/ all 5 pieces). The Paladin set offers a good melee damage boost. Afterthe default Assassin outfit, my favorite is probably the Captain of the Aquila uniform.
