Re: '16 Cactus - 1.6 HDi - Sudden white smoke, smells of urea / Adblue. Additive pump is incorporated into the additive tank assembly so that is why if the tank runs dry which can lead to the additive injector failure, they have to replace the whole unit. Similarly, the Adblue tanks have all the pump and heating mechanism incorporated inside
Re: C4 Picasso AdBlue problem. by Richard_C » Wed Mar 15, 2017 3:06 pm. Your vin number comes up as a 115bhp hdi, Euro 5, so no ad blue. You have stop start so it may well say 'eco' in a few places. The 120bhp Euro 6 ones had ad blue. In the C4 Pic, the ad blue filler is a pretty large diameter screw cap situated in the spare wheel well, right
I thought that the alarm went off at 1500 miles. think that is if you are running out of adblue, if it is not pumping any through it seems to start at 700miles which in my case would have left me stranded about 600 miles from home. Imaginative solution, thanks. Interested in the generic code reader, might be useful as my car ages.
See how much AdBlue your Citroen consumes. We base consumption with an average distance of 10,000 per year and a ‘normal’ driving style. Find your model listed below. It includes each variant from years 2015 to 2021.
It is one of the ways of bringing your diesel’s exhaust outputs to comply with Euro 6 standards. AdBlue interacts inside your car’s Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. This enables it to lessen the effects of gases that contribute to global warming. The fluid works by mixing with the fumes produced by your vehicles.
November 11, 2018. Can't create a new topic, so will write a question here. I have Citroen Grand C4 Picasso with BluHDI 200. Recently I've got a message that Ureal level is low and I need to refill it, otherwise I can't start engine in 1100km. I went to official service (Sing Huat Premium), they topped up Adblue tank, but the message still remain.
The average distance that a full tank of AdBlue will last is 6,000 to 7,000 miles. Typically, 1 litre lasts for around 600 miles but your driving style may impact this. Since travelling between 6,000 and 7,000 miles will empty your tank, we recommend topping up every 5,000 miles just in case. The last thing you need is to run out and get stuck
If you are not sure where it is, check your owner’s manual. Attach an anti-spill nozzle to the AdBlue® container. If you do not have an anti-spill nozzle to hand, remove the AdBlue® tank cap and place a funnel in the top of the reservoir. Slowly refill the AdBlue® tank until it is full. Some vehicles require a dashboard reset after a top
