I just upgraded from my 1680x1050 to an 1920x1080 monitor and the resolution for some reason is staying at 1680x1050. I changed the resolution from the launcher, but nothing changed. Then downloaded the latest driver for my Batman Arkham City/ BmGame/ Localization and rename or delete the folder for the language that is active. For example, your game is in german but you want it in english, then you delete or rename the DEU folder. It doens´t matter to what you rename it, any other name should be fine. Interestingly, a load of files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Batman Arkham City GOTY\Binaries\Win32 got deleted first time I ran the game. This includes the config app BMLauncher.exe It's another 17Gb download to get them back.
